- Includes the text of a bull of Pope Clement VII, dated Rome 15th Nov. 1526, ordering the levying of taxes on the French clergy for a war against the Turks.

- Bull is dated at end: "Datum Romae ... anno incarnationis Dominic[ae] millesimo, quingetesimo vigesimo sexto. Decimo septimo K[a]l[endas] Decembris pontificatus nostri anno tertio [15 Nov. 1526]; a blank space has been left in the text at end with the intention of being filled in with the date of the local certification.

- Culture Class Collection copy has ms. inscription on verso which reads: "Bulle de Rome et declaration de François premier pour la levée des décimes a l'occasion de la guerre contre le turc."
- Culture Class Collection copy has the date of local certification (December 1526) supplied in ms. at end of text; the lower part of the sheet originally folded has the signature of a local ecclesiastical official; a piece of vellum has been looped through slits in the lower part of the document and has remains of a red wax seal of closure.
