BAL notes four states of the first gathering. In the first, the imprint reads "A.E. Carey" instead of "E.L. Carey," and p. iv is misnumbered "v." In the second, line 4 the imprint reads "A.E. Carey," and p. iv is misnumbered "vi." In the third, the imprint reads "A.E. Carey," and p. iv is numbered correctly. In the fourth, the imprint reads correctly "E.L. Carey," and p. iv is numbered correctly. BAL also notes two states of gathering 9. In the first, the next to last line on p. 98 ends "the go" instead of "they go." In the second, the next to last line on p. 98 reads correctly "they go."
Further errors are in the last line of p. 65 ("h is mansion" for "his mansion") and the running title on p. 92 ("lgends" for "legends").

Culture Class Collection copy has autograph of A. Fitch.
Culture Class Collection copy is third state, the imprint reads "A.E. Carey," and p. iv is numbered correctly. On p. 98, line 2 up ends "... the go,".
Culture Class Collection copy has p. 59 correctly numbered instead of missigned "5*".
