Disbound manuscript of compilation of simples (medicines made from one component) in 85 chapters with lists of plants for general medical functions and for treating specific parts of the body. Includes lists and passages not present in the edition of the work published in Basel in 1585.

Collation: Parchment, 21 leaves; 1¹⁸(-1) 2⁴; [1-34, 1-8], modern pagination in pencil, lower inner corners.

Layout: Written in 2 columns of 46 lines.

Script: Written in Gothic script by a single hand.

Decoration: 2-line initials, rubrication, and paragraph marks in red, with later additions of blue, green, or black penwork; concluding lists (p. 1-4 [=p. 35-38]) are also decorated with these later colors.

Origin: Written in Spain between 1350 and 1380.
