Summary:

The opening chapters of this volume from the October 2009 conference survey branching problems of Zuckerman derived functor modules, the chiral equivalent cohomology of spheres, and the history of the Plancherel formula and the Plancherel theorem on reductive groups over local fields. Fourteen research papers present an algorithm for computing the character of an arbitrary ã, characterize Levi components of parabolic subalgebras, extend the Langlands-Shahidi method to arithmetic quotients of loop groups, and apply Zuckerman translation to the super dual pair.
