Biography/History:
German professor of classical philology at the University of Göttingen, appointed professor without chair (ausserordentlicher Professor) in 1819, and full professor in 1823. Müller published his commentary on Aeschylus's Eumenides in 1833.
Summary:
Bound volume of notes taken by Ernst von Leutsch at Karl Otfried Müller's lectures on Greek tragedy in the summer semester 1828, at the University of Göttingen. The second part of the lectures comprise a close study of Aeschylus's Eumenides. Included is an index locorum (p. 187-191), listing the page numbers in the manuscript where remarks mentioning the given authors and works can be found. The early part of the manuscript contains some stage diagrams or other illustrations pertaining to the theater.
