- Summary:
- "Europeaid funds channelled through United Nations organisations increased from 144 million euro in 2001 to 935 million euro in 2009. A high proportion of these contributions was spent in conflict-affected countries. In this report, the court examines whether channelling funds through United Nations organisations is an effective, efficient and sustainable way of delivering aid in conflict-affected countries. The audit concludes that while some good results were achieved in very difficult circumstances, more attention needs to be paid to project design, obtaining sufficient information on projects and the assessment of efficiency."--P.
