Summary:
A German Jew who converted to Catholicism, Pfefferkorn (1469-1522) published this, his first anti-Jewish pamphlet in 1507, and from then until 1521 he published more of them than anyone else in Germany. Ruth I. Cape (German, Austin College, Texas) presents the first English translation, on pages facing the original German. She explains that he asks Jews to convert, admonishes secular rulers and Christians in general for not putting more pressure on Jews to convert, and warns that the conversion of Jews signaled that the second coming was at hand.
