Summary:
The most visible abortion battleground was New York State, where the legislature had voted to repeal the extremely permissive law it had passed two years before and where Governor Nelson Rockerfeller had vetoed the repeal. Buckley, Noonan (a professor of philosophy and law), and Lucas (one of the lawyers in the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case), and some members of the audience discuss the future of abortion laws in the United States following the events in New York State.
