Letter from the Secretary of the Army transmitting a letter from the Chief of Engineers, Department of the Army, dated November 12, 1953, submitting a report, together with accompanying papers and illustrations, on a partial preliminary examination and interim survey of Harbors and Rivers in Alaska. This interim report is submitted under the authority for a preliminary examination and survey of Harbors and Rivers in Alaska, with a view to determining the advisability of improvements in the Interest of Navigation, Flood Control, Hydroelectric Power, and Related Water uses, authorized by the Flood Control Act approved on June 30, 1948. It is also in final response to several congressional authorizations listed in the report.
