This interim report is submitted in response to a resolution of the Committee on Commerce, United States Senate, adopted on January 15, 1944, and resolutions of the Committee on Flood Control, House of Representatives, adopted on September 18, 1944, requesting a review of report on the Mississippi River between Coon Rapids Dam and Mouth of the Ohio River, with a view to improvement of the Mississippi River for flood control at east Moline and Campbell's Island and additional flood protection along the Mississippi River above the Mouth of the Missouri River.
