This collection includes miscellaneous documents from 1700 to the late 19th century, including slave deeds, passes, certificates of registry, manumission papers, wills, appraisals of slaves, and speeches relating to slavery and its abolition, primarily in the Anglo-American colonies and the United States, as well as a few letters concerning the Amistad mutiny.
