- Summary:
- The 18th season, January to May 2009, involved surveying and excavating at the project's two sites: the Khent-kawes town, and the flagship Heit el-Ghurab (Wall of the Crow). To celebrate 20 years of study on the plateau, a open-site and a colloquium were held in March. The excavations themselves ended in April, but work continued in the Giza Field Laboratory through May. Detailed descriptions of procedures and finds are provided, along with extensive photographs, maps, drawings, and diagrams, among them six fold-out site plans.
