Summary:
As boys grow: A track and field coach takes time after practice to explain to the team all about the birds & the bees. Discussed are the various types and speeds of male development, nocturnal emissions, masturbation and sex.
Human reproduction: Released in 1947, this granddaddy of all American sex education films launched a major controversy throughout America upon its release over the legitimacy of sex education in schools. The film concentrates on presenting detailed information and illustrations of human sexual reproductive physiology.
Social sex attitudes in adolescence: Discusses the development of the teenager's understanding of the meaning of sex. Depicts the case of a boy and a girl during their adolescent experience which culminates in their marriage. Shows how, as children, they were given sex education in the home; how they became increasingly aware of the opposite sex; their dating of boys and girls to form an idea of the kind of person they wanted to marry; how they handled such problems as petting; and how they finally met, discovered and shared their common interests, fell in love, and married.
Physical aspects of puberty: Depicts Johnny and Janey during "the in-between period of adolescence." Using animated diagrams, the development of the primary (reproductive) and secondary (body hair and physical development) sex characteristics in males and females is analyzed.
In the beginning: Takes on the subject of evolution with a sensible exposition of the commonalities of mammalian reproduction.
Your body during adolescence: Outlines what changes boys and girls will go through due to the activities of the seven glands that govern the growth of maturing adolescents.
