- Engraved title-pages, each with the royal coat of arms of Spain, portraits of the discoverers and conquisitadores, and pictures representing events during the discovery and conquest of Spanish America or customs of its inhabitants, copied from the title-pages of the original edition (Madrid, 1601-15). Each decade has an engraved head-piece. The title-pages of the various copies of this edition differ in date: most are dated 1726; title-page of Decada Setima is dated 1727 although the last decade was printed in 1728 (cf. Medina, Bibl. hisp. amer. t. IV). The dates of the 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th decades have been altered in this copy from 1726 to 1730, that of the 5th from 1727 to 1730.
