- Summary:
- A myth of the origin of man from the Yanomamo Indians near the headwaters of the Orinoco river in southern Venezuela. Recounts the creation story in which Moon is described as a villan who is shot with an arrow and whose blood covers the earth. The fierce tribes of people were formed where the blood was thick, other peoples were formed from the scattered droplets of blood.
