Sermon on Deuteronomy 17:18-19 preached by Erasmus Sarcerius at the unified diet (Landtag) at Leipzig 1553, which was attended by the leading Lutheran theologians, including Philipp Melanchthon and Johann Bugenhagen, and at which Lutheranism was declared the state's confession, while Duke Moritz was recognized by his new subjects.
