A similar version of this song was printed as "Diss ist ein Newes liedlein Evangelische lere betreffend. Vnd ist jns weissbecken thon" (ca. 1523; cf. VD 16 D1449) and "Eyn Newes lied die Ewangelische lere betreffende. Vnd wirdt gesungen inss weyssbecken thon" (Speyer: Jakob Schmidt, 1524; cf. VD 16 ZV4519). In this version, the first stanza begins: "Es get ein frischer Sommer doher ..."; the penultimate stanza begins: "O gott, wir begern von dir huld ..."; and the final stanza begins: "Verleih uns gnad, ewiger gott ..." Cf. F. Böhme, Altdeutsches Liederbuch (Leipzig: Breitkopf und Gärtel, 1877), p. 478ff. Not to be identified with the version attributed to Konrad Kern and printed as "Ain hübsch euangelisch lied dar in auffs kürtzest angezaygt ist was gott am maisten miszfeldt vnnd gefelt kürtzlich corrigiert ..."
