- Vols. 1-2 consist of 'The comedies, tragedies, and operas' (Macdonald 107 a i) with a general titlepage in vol. 1 and with additional titlepages in both volumes reading 'The comedies, tragedies, and operas'; a general titlepage for vol. 2 was never printed. Vol. 3 consists of 'Poems on various occasions' (Macdonald 61) and 'Fables ancient and modern' (Macdonald 37), with a general titlepage reading: 'The works of Mr. John Dryden. The third volume' and with additional titlepages for 'Poems' and 'Fables'. Vol. 4 consists of 'The works of Virgil' (Macdonald 33 c, but with the cancel titlepage dated 1701), with a general titlepage reading: 'The works of Mr. Dryden. The fourth volume. .. The third edition'.
