On verso is an announcement on the publication of Boydell and Nicol's third volume of Milton; the announcement is dated at head: Shakspeare Gallery, Jan. 1, 1797.
The proposed five volumes set was never completed; the first two volumes, William Combe's 'An history of the River Thames', were published by the Boydells in 1794-6 under the general title of 'An history of the principal rivers of Great Britain'.
