An alphabetical list of the freeholders and burgesses, of the several parishes of the city and county of Bristol, who polled at the election in the year 1734. : Taken before Michael Pope, Esq; and Benjamin Glisson, Esq; sheriffs. Which began Wednesday the 14th of May, and ended Friday the 24th of May, 1734. The candidates being the Honourable John Scrope, Esq; Sir Abraham Elton, bart. and Thomas Coster, Esq; when upon casting up the poll the numbers stood as under, Honourable John Scrope, Esq; 1866 Sir Abraham Elton, bart. 2420 Thomas Coster, Esq; 2071 whereupon the two latter were declared duly elected.
