A dissertation upon the sugar of milk : In which is shewn, its great efficacy in consumptions, hectic fevers, the scurvy, vapours or hysterics, and hypocondriacal complaints, the asthma and gout: that it is likewise proper for every one, who hath an infirm state of health, and a tender constitution, and excellent for persons advanced in years. Wrote in French, by J.L. Dyvernois, M.D. physician to His Majesty the King of Prussia, at Neufch©Øtel in Switzerland. And now translated into English. The person who publishes this, has annexed an appendix, containing an extract from the medical essays, printed at Edinburgh concerning the sugar of milk; an account of the cures it has performed, taken out of Valentini; and several observations of his own, relating to this subject.
