- Summary:
- Most diffusion studies are primarily concerned with the rate of adoption or the final portion of a population that has made the transition. Edited by Tidd (science and technology policy research, U. of Sussex), this volume examines the direction of adoption, i.e. why some innovations are adopted while others are ignored. The chapters review case studies, models and empirical evidence in an exploration of general factors affecting the diffusion of innovations, along with studies of three specific sectors: pharmaceutical innovations, telecommunications, and environmental products and services. The book closes with an exploration of forecasting technology. Distributed by World Scientific. Annotation ©2011 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
