First small format edtion of Dante, all earlier editions in folio. Cf. Renouard.
First of the two impressions of the edition printed by Aldus in 1502; lacks Aldine printer's mark on verso of H4, which will be used for the first time in the second impression of this edition.
First letter of "aedibus" is an upside down "V" instead of an "A". Cf. Adams.
Signatures: a-z⁸ A-G⁸ H⁴ (leaf lii blank, xiii verso blank).
On verso of title page: Lo'nferno e'l Pvrgatorio e'l Paradiso di Dante Alaghieri.
Italic type, with first letter of every third line in larger Roman type.
