Singer-Mendenhall copy without the leaf of advertisements described in Moon, John Harris's books for youth (775).
Singer-Mendenhall copy has a ms. inscription, in ink, which reads "Mary Ann Powell, a New Year's Gift", dated 1828, on the front paste-down endpaper. Another beneath, in pencil, reads "Joane Stevens, 1952, granddaughter of M.K. Powell".
