- Summary:
- Hutton's letters, dated from September 1916 to January 1917, are related to his reading a chapter from Morley Roberts in typescript. Hutton comments and gives references on scientific questions of heredity vs. environment in evolution, and specifically with regard to ideas of Roberts concerning the development of female germ cells, and the ovary as environment.
