- In 1917 Fantham became the first professor of zoology and comparative anatomy at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, which at that time was known as The South African School of Mines and Technology.
- Summary:
- Writing from Johannesburg in response to a letter from Roberts, Fantham states that he finds Roberts's views on the probable origin of Taenia solium interesting, and recommends that he write to J. W. W. Stephens at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
