The preliminary leaves of this copy appear in the following order: a stub (remains of title leaf?); an unsigned leaf (recto blank; verso with table of contents headed "THE CONTENTS"); a leaf signed "a" (recto headed "PREFACE"; verso numbered "iv"); an unsigned leaf (recto numbered "v"; verso numbered "vi" with catchword "THE") conjugate with the preceding leaf; a second stub conjugate with the unsigned leaf containing the table of contents; and a third stub. This arrangement cannot be construed to match the pagination of either ESTC N18499 ([2], vi, 75, [1] p.) or N67798 (vi, [2], 75, [1] p.).
