The "Notice" (p. [v]), explaining that "this is the first instance in this country where an annual has passed to a second edition", suggests that this is a second printing rather than a new edition. Faxon entry for the first edition suggests no difference between the editions other than the placement of the leaf on which is printed the "Notice" (the verso has the list of "embellishments"), which could explain the error in pagination not present in the first ed.--Cf. Local Notes:
