Summary:
Paolino has secretly married Geronimo's daughter Carolina. The two must find a gentle way to inform Geronimo. Unfortunately Carolina's aunt Fidalma loves Paolino and the Englishman Count Robinson, who is to marry Geronimo's other daughter Lisetta, falls in love with Carolina. There ensues a series of comical situations which lead, of course, to a happy ending.
