- Summary:
- "Follow the lives of Taabu, Baraka, Riziki, and Neema. Taabu contracted HIV while in college in the United States. He returns to Kenya to find himself. Despite leading the fight against AIDS stigmatization he has yet to reveal his status to his girlfriend. Baraka works at a computer firm where he must keep his status secret or risk losing his job. Riziki has a string of boyfriends, all rich, whom she sleeps with in return for the gifts and favours they bestow on her. Not surprisingly, her promiscuity comes home to roost and she must find a way forward. Neema is a widow and a mother of two. Her husband died of AIDS a year ago. She now lives as an outcast in her community but must find a way to protect her children from the prejudice they face."--Container.
