Summary:
Following President Reagan's press conference regarding Libya and the December 27, 1985 terrorist attacks at the Rome and Vienna airports, respondents were asked if they had seen the press conference and if they felt Reagan's response to the terrorist attacks had been too tough, not tough enough, or just about right. Respondents' opinions were also sought on Libyan leader Colonel Khaddafi's role in the attacks, whether the United States should take military action even if it means risking a larger war, and the likelihood of a major terrorist attack against the United States occurring in 1986. Demographic characteristics of respondents also are included.
