- Investigates the circumstances connected with the removal of the Northern Cheyennes from the Sioux Reservation, Dakota Territory, to the Indian Territory. Aug. 12, 1879, hearing was held in Lawrence, Kans.; Aug. 19 and 21 hearings were held in Fort Reno, Indian Territory; and Aug. 20 hearing was held at the Cheyenne and Arapahoe Agency, Indian Territory. Hearing is included in S. Rpt. 46-708.
