Purchased for the Penn Libraries in 1957.
Culture Class Collection copy bound in full vellum; 4 raised bands on spine; ms. title and date ("Chronique de Gaguin Goth 1530") on spine; all edges speckled red.
Culture Class Collection copy has bookplate of J.J. Philippe Dudouët, with motto: "Instruit Returnat", probably belonging to the 18th century Caen advocate Jean-Jacques-Hervé Philippe Dudouet, on front pastedown.
Culture Class Collection copy has a few ms. marginal marks and notes in black or brown ink and some ms. underlines, marginal marks and notes in red ink (some faded); a few ms. marginal marks in pencil.
Culture Class Collection copy: leaves closely cropped at outer margin with damage to woodcut border on title leaf and occasional damage to ms. marginalia; wormhole in fore-edge margin of leaves H4-I6.
