"[F]rontispiece portrait plate of Milton after Faithorne in tinted blue, title-page plate printed in red with elaborately decorative blue border trim in art nouveau style with an urn at the bottom on each side, and at the center at the top, the emblem of an open book whthin a laurel wreath with lighted flame above and scroll beneath containing the Latin inscription "Sapere Aude," ... two unsigned illustration plates for P[aradise] R[egained] ("Among the wild beasts" and "Satan, smitten with amazement fell")"--Wickenheiser.
