Summary:
The August 1944 trial of the conspirators who tried to kill Hitler is shown through actual footage filmed on hidden cameras by order of Goebbels. The propaganda film generated only inspired sympathy for the conspirators, so all known prints were destroyed; one remained. Other footage provides details of the various attempts at assassination, from the bomb in Munich's Bürgerbräukeller to Claus von Stauffenberg's explosive attack on the Wolfsschanze. Features previously unseen film of the National Committee for a Free Germany, plus new information about members of the Kreisau Circle and the White Rose.
