- Summary:
- The aim of this publication is to provide comprehensive and concise information on public health actions funded under 2006 Call for Proposals in the framework of the Program of community action in the field of public health. The eighty seven projects presented in this report received funding in the framework of 2006 Call for Proposals for the total amount of 47 million euro. They are in most cases still in the implementation phase, and realize one of the objectives of the Public Health Program 2003-2008: to improve information and knowledge for the development of public health (Health Information); to enhance the capability of responding rapidly and in a coordinated fashion to threats to health (Health Threats); to promote health and prevent disease through addressing health determinants across all policies and activities (Health Determinants). A summary of each project's objectives, strategic relevance, methodology and expected results is given, along with details of its duration, budget, the beneficiary's contact details and website.--Publisher's description.
