Notes:
The original, a Nahua ritual manuscript, consists of 14 pieces of Mexican deer skin of varying length, glued together to form a continuous strip, 10 m. x 27 m., covered with writing on both sides; it is folded into 39 leaves, one side of the first and last being attached to covers, forming a volume 27 x 27 cm. The manuscript is reproduced on a strip of thick paper 988 x 26 cm., similarly folded, the 39 leaves being paged 1-76. The descriptive preface, bound in boards, and the facsimiles are enclosed in a wood case, half bound, lettered Codice messicano Borgiano.
