- "The project aims at integrating Latin inscriptions from all parts of the Roman Empire into an extensive database. In the first instance, inscriptions not yet published in the main editions which were, however, registered by the annual Année épigraphique since 1888 have been considered. Further efforts in order to provide, as far as possible, a collection of the Latin epigraphy in its entirety are about to follow. The revised documents will be offered in geographical and systematical order."
