- Summary:
- Both brilliant and bumbling, Peter Perez faces one of the most difficult and dangerous cases in his career. A man has been murdered, and his brother Luis and stepmother Esperanza are the most obvious suspects. But as Peter begins his investigation, Luis is murdered, and Esperanza fears for her life and family. She convinces Peter to escort her daughter Alicia to Mexico City, and thankfully he agrees, for the detective is able to foil an attempt to murder her. This attempt seals the conspirators' fate, however--for Peter Perez's brilliant mind has already begun to unravel the case!
