Notes:

The work is divided into three parts. The first part (vols. 1-4), written in Catalan, was printed at Barcelona in 1609. A Spanish translation by Pedro Angel de Tarazona was published in 1777. The second and third parts, written in Spanish, remained in manuscript, and are said to have been taken to France by Pierre de Marca and used in the composition of his "Marca hispanica" and other historical works. This edition contains a re-issue of the Spanish translation of the first part, with corrections and a translation of the second and third parts from the original Catalan manuscript by Félix Torres Amat, Alberto Pujol, and Próspero de Bofarull.--cf.
