Foliation: Paper, ii + 182 + i; 1-2 (endleaves), 3-183, 184 (endleaf); modern script foliation in pencil, upper center recto; Coptic foliation, upper left recto (f. 6-37, 40-183). Folios 3, 5-182 have catchwords on versos, lower center or lower left corner.
Layout: Written in 20-30 lines per page and occasional marginalia; folios 3-4, 38-39 frame-ruled in lead with double inner and outer vertical bounding lines.
Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed. Folios 1-3 and 36-37 are in a later hand which is not as clear as the first.
Decoration: Rubrications in red. Some small decorations such as a cross adjacent the colophon and sets of four dots occasionally in the upper outer corner.
Binding: One-half green leather over marbled boards; white paper spine label with typed shelf mark.
Origin: Completed on Thursday the 15th of the month of Tubeh in the year 1501 of the holy martyrs (= 1784 CE) corresponding to the 28th of the month of Ṣafar 1198 hijrī (f. 183v).
Copy has ms. shelf mark in pencil on back pastedown; ms. inscriptions in Arabic script on front pastedown, recto of front free endpaper, and recto and verso of back free endpaper; ms. inscription in Arabic at foot of f. 183v; a few ms. marginal annotations. Folio 37 torn off at bottom outer corner without loss of text; f. 41r damaged across central portion with some loss of text. Eight modern paper slips with ms. notes in Arabic script in pencil laid in.
