The life of the author, as also the editorial work of the first six volumes, is by Vicente Antonio Noguera y Ramón; in the preparation of the last three, several scholars coöperated, the principal one among them being José Francisco Oritz y Sanz. cf. Prologues, and Fuster, Bibl. valenciana, v. 2, p. 178 181.
The publisher (cf. "Prólogo del impresor," v. 9) speaks of a new translation of Míñana's "Continuacion" as completed and ready for the press. Apparently it was never printed.
"Lista de los senores subscriptores ... ": first-sixth preliminary leaves, v. 1.
Local Notes:
Lea Library copy, all volumes, bound in full leather with six raised bands, stamped gilded tooling, and title/volume plates on spine; page edges painted red.
Lea Library copy, all volumes, has the bookplate of Henry Charles Lea on front pastedown and his autograph, dated 1876, on front free end paper; bookseller's label on front pastedown: "Maisonneuve & Cie, 15 Quai Voltaire, Paris."
