The accompanying discs contain a recording of the world premiere performance of the work on the EMI Classics label. The issue number (both discs) is CDC: 7 54279 2. The original issue of the work (1991), also on the EMI Classics label had the issue numbers:CDS 7 54277 2 (CDC 7 54278 2--CDC 7 54279 2); thus the issue number for this 2008 release is the same as the issue number for the 2nd disc of the original issue. It is performed by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra conducted by Simon Rattle.
