Notes:
Sound disc is Cecile Le Prado's "sound installation" entitled Le triangle d'incertitude (commented on in the essay on p. 185-186). In 8 tracks, she creates a soundscape for an ocean area triangulated north of Spain, west of France and south of England in which no landmarks for any country are visible. Bells, radio transmissions only partly understood, horns, sounds of waves and sea birds, and other sounds the listener tries in vain to identify, evoke remoteness, uncertainty, even danger.
