Three states noted, in variant stages between the 183 edition and the 1814 "revised impression." In the first state, all gatherings except for E are typographically identical to the 1813 edition, and gathering E is typographically identical to the 1814 "revised impression." The illustration on page 83 is identical with that in the 1813 edition. In the second state, gatherings A, C-D, G-L, and N are typographically identical to the 1813 edition, while gatherings B, E-F, M, and O are typographically identical to the 1814 "revised impression. The illustration on p. 83 is identical to that in the 1813 edition. In the third state, gatherings A, C-D, H-L, and N are typographically identical to the 1813 edition, while gatherings B, E-G, M, and O are typographically identical to the 1814 "revised impression." The illustration on p. 83 is identical to that in the 1814 "revised impression."
