- The astronomical notes and the clock equations (sixth column) on the calendar pages for January and February, as well as the preceding eclipse predictions, are identical with those in the Philadelphia almanacs for 1816 calculated by Joshua Sharp. For March the clock equations are again those of Sharp, but the notes (third column) are of undetermined authorship. All the other calculations for January-March, and all the astronomical notes and calculations for April through December, duplicate those in the Philadelphia almanacs calculated by William Collom for this year. Sharp's work is substituted for part of Collom's in the 1813 and 1814 issues as well.
