Joshua Sharp was the real calculator. All of the calculations and astronomical notes on the calendar pages duplicate those in the several Philadelphia almanacs for 1814 bearing Sharp's name. Of these, Bennett & Walton's, Johnson's, Johnson & Warner's, and the Pennsylvania almanac (Jordan Downing), all printed from one setting of type, contain the same weather predictions as well.
