- All calculations in the columns of the calendar pages are identical with those in Houghton's genuine almanac for 1812, "astronomical part by Asa Houghton" (Shaw & Shoemaker 23052), with the exception of the ephemeris, the moon's phases, and the January times for high water and the moon's southing.
- The almanac is possibly the joint work of Asa Houghton and Gilbert Graves. See notes in the bibliographic record for the 1807 issue of Thomas's almanac (Shaw & Shoemaker 10621).
