Notes:
Hutchins died in 1782, and the calculator of the present almanac was Andrew Beers. The calculations for the rising, setting and phases of the moon are identical throughout with those in his Beers' Almanac for 1817 (Hartford, Conn.) Those for the sun vary because of the difference in meridian between Hartford and New York. The astronomical notes on the calendar pages are duplicated from the Hartford edition of Beers, but with many omissions. Those in Beers for the sun's declination and the clock equations have been transferred in Hutchins to columns devoted to these categories of calculations.
The Anatomy is the only illustration.
Two states of gathering F noted. One has an advertisement for the book and stationery store of William Stevens on p. [36]; the other, an advertisement for the bookstore of John Tiebout.
