- The first volume has two title pages, designating the volume "Vol. IX" and "Vol. V" respectively. The second volume has two title pages, designating the volume "Vol. VI" and "Vol. X" respectively. The word "Miscellaneous." does not appear on the title pages to the second volume.
- Evidently intended as a continuation of more than one edition of Burke's works. When designated volumes V-VI, a continuation of the edition published in Boston, 1806-1807, John West and O.C. Greenleaf (Shaw & Shoemaker 10067). No 8-volume set has been identified for which these volumes might be a continuation.
